Raisa was raised by the parents of her in Los Angeles, California. Irlanda Almendarez and Italia Almendarez. Her first name, Francia, is Italian for France. Italia refers to Italy in Italian, just as Irlanda refers to Ireland. Her mother Virginia Almendarez has Mexican roots while her father, Renan, has roots in Honduras. Renan changed his name to El Cucuy just after Francia's birth. Renan is also a Latino top DJ from Los Angeles.
